    Galigo.tv - Leang-leang Prehistoric Park is one of the mainstay tourist destinations in South Sulawesi Province, located in Maros Regency. It is located in Leang-leang Village, Bantimurung District. It is approximately 34.9 km to the north from Makassar City and 19.9 km from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport.


    This tourist attraction that holds traces of ancient human remains that are thousands of years old, apart from being a location for historical and archaeological research and tourism objects, also serves as an educational medium to introduce children to the history of ancient life in South Sulawesi 8,000-3,000 BC.


    Leang-leang which means cave is included in the Bantimurung-Bulusaraung National Park area in the Maros-Pangkep karst mountain range, which is recorded as the second largest karst area in the world after Guangzhou, China.


    The Dutch expert in archaeological history, H.R. van Heekeren in the results of his research found pictures of Pigs and Deer and Miss Heeren Palm found a woman's palm with red paint. Both of these findings are found in Leang Pattae and Leang Pettakere. From the results of research by archaeologists, this cave was inhabited by early humans around 8,000-3,000 BC. The pictures or paintings in the cave are estimated to be 5,000 years old.


    On Sundays and other holidays, Leang-leang is very crowded with tourists, both local and foreign tourists. They took pictures among the clusters of rocks that looked beautiful with a variety of interesting styles. The following are visitors who enjoy the scenery while taking pictures.
